Overview

Conducts comprehensive financial planning, including identifying client needs, gathering information and preparing financial analysis.  Makes recommendations in accordance with Anchor Investments and LPL guidelines, presents client based solutions and implements the plan integrating all appropriate Anchor Investments and Anchor Bank partners.

 

As a representative of Anchor Bank, this position, along with all others, is expected to adhere to high ethical standards and practices and to conduct him- or herself in accordance with Anchor Bank’s and LPL Financial’s policies and procedures. In addition, he or she is responsible for managing the risks inherent in Anchor’s business over which control can be exercised.  All employees are responsible for reporting any improper activities or risks they become aware of.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages client relationships for Anchor Investments.
  • Responsible for business development and prospecting.
  • Provides investment advice and makes investment recommendations to clients in accordance with LPL Financial policies and procedures
  • Conducts comprehensive financial planning, including identifying client needs, gathering information, preparing financial analysis, making recommendations, presenting solutions and implementing the plan
  • Establishes relationships with Anchor bankers to generate referrals.
  • Builds solid relationships with Anchor team members.
  • Communicates with clients and team members on the status of the status, issues and implementation of the client relationship and plan.
  • Conducts client reviews.
  • Educates bankers on Anchor Investments services and offerings by participating in marketing programs, sales meetings, staff meetings and bank activities.
  • Idenitifies opportunities to introduce clients to bankers.
  • Favorably represents the bank at community functions and meetings.
  • Consistantly keeps up to date on, follows and implements compliance policies and procedures.
  • Handles client correspondence, general office functions and duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of related work experience required with a strong sales track record.
  • Series 7 and 63 Securities Licenses and Minnesota Insurance License required.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.
  • Proficient in analyzing financial planning recommendations and solutions.
  • Strong sales skills commensurate with knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and pressure.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel and other basic computer skills. Ability to learn LPL Financial software immediately.
